Progress Report 12.21.11

Engineering spent time this morning reviewing the industrial track alignment in Blue Island.  I finally came up with a configuration that I believe will work.  I created a quick drawing of the layout for some friends' input.  It was well received.  So, starting in January I will commence work on the project.  I'm really excited about the new track alignment.  It will create the urban scene that I was looking for.

Below is a quick draft I did of the area just west of C-5 Tower in Blue Island.

Progress Report 12.20.11

Construction resumed briefly today as crews removed the crossover at Blue Island.  The crossover will be reversed.  It is rumored that crews will try to do a little bit more tomorrow morning before the official holiday construction break begins.
