The ROCK 3.0: Belrose Silica Progress
So, very late tonight, I started back on constructing Belrose Silica in Utica. I started the other night, but totally messed up the windows so I had to scrap the project. This evening, I made great progress and before long I had the main structure completed. I need to build up the ground area as the foam and plaster are not even in this area. I also need to construct the conveyor house and canopy over the loading tracks, but I think it looks pretty good.
Belrose Silica above and Philadelphia Quartz (PQ) below.
I also plan to model the blue shop building to the left to the main building.
All this now looks totally different as this structure is gone and two others are in its place. Thank goodness for old Bing Maps that haven't been updated yet.
Looking east down the mainline between Belrose Silica on the left and PQ on the right.

Looking across PQ to the Belrose Silica Processing Plant
Looking west to the Belrose Silica - The walls are straight, but since the "ground" is uneven it is leaning away from the wall slightly.
A view from track level.
A view from Mill Street in Utica by the station looking east. This is very similar to what I saw in person last summer while visiting Utica.
