The ROCK 3.0: Expansion Project Progress

After dinner tonight, I added another 4" to the 1x2" frame, cut and installed the table top.  For the materials, I used 1x2s and 2'x4'x1/4" birch plywood.  The table top weighs 11.6 lbs.  With track and cork, maybe 15 lbs total.  I'm just guessing.  I would think that is about as much as you would want for one person to handle for the size.  The module is 48" long by 41" wide. Next, I will work on legs.

Here is the module held in place temporarily.  That's a lot of real estate for Bureau.  Hopefully enough to do what I want to do.  When held in place, it lines up perfectly with the tracks at LaSalle Yard.  There is a three foot span or so that will have to be made as a drop in section between LaSalle Yard and the Bureau module.

I can clean out a place for it to be stored under the layout at Libbey-Owens Ford.

So, slowly but surely, progress is being made on this project.  Flex track has shipped.  Looking forward to getting everything lined up to see the it all in place.
