The ROCK 3.0: Bureau Junction

Thanks to blog reader Bruce in Illinois, I was able to obtain a diagram of Bureau Junction in the late 70s.  I had seen various photos from ground level, but wasn't positive on the actual track arrangements in the area.  Thanks Bruce for sending me this.

I would have to make some slight modifications if I was to add this with the Peoria Branch Expansion project, but could make a reasonable representation.

  1. What a great 'find' - gotta love the internet for making information sharing like this possible. With a little bit of compression, Bureau Jct would make a great centre-piece to build a layout around. I'm looking forward to seeing your plans.

    1. The blog helps connect all of us railfans. I have learned a tremendous amount checking out other blogs. I love it!

I'm thinking of heading down to the local hardware store this week to pick up some 2x2s and styrofoam to make a test section for the new Bureau Junction. If I can get it to work, I think I can get the rest approved from the boss.
